Take healthcare off the mainframe

When we often times think about our health care system, we immediately think about a hospital, a doctor, or a nurse.  In fact, care in America usually begins and ends either at a hospital or in a doctors office.  Our current system is very fragmented in the way it delivers care.  However, as our population ages, healthcare costs rise and our
country's debt continues to soar to record levels, people all around
the nation have started to look for ways to change the way we currently deliver care.  In recent years, terms like continuum of care, integrated delivery system, and accountable care organizations have been used as ways to change the delivery system to bring forth greater quality of care to patients at a better value.

At TEDMED, Eric Dishman makes a bold argument: The US health care
system is like computing circa 1959, tethered to big, unwieldy central
systems: hospitals, doctors, nursing homes. As our aging population
booms, it's imperative, he says, to create personal, networked,
home-based health care for all.

Health care system has been a long issue that the government is trying to give utmost attention to. Yes, it is in fact that population is getting bigger and bigger every year thus giving more problems the authorities has to take care of. Plus, there has been no constant term if we are going to talk about its fees. Yet, the government is trying its best to give quality health care to everyone. There are lots of integrations, development and delivery system that is being planned and studied about to make it more effective and standardized for all.
